Circus 8 and 1/2 of the flavors and things done with the hands and the heart
Rimini becomes the Italian capital of taste with the Circus 8 and 1/2 of flavors between chef showcooking, gourmet street food, star ice creams, farmers’ market, artisans and designers.
Massimo Bottura brings together 12 starred chefs from the Emilia Romagna region to meet 12 young international chefs, inside and outside a Fellini-style circus, for an event that celebrates the protagonists and the richness of a unique territory in the world. This is the Circus 8 ½ of the flavors, the beating heart of “Al Meni” – or in the Romagna dialect “the hands”, from the title of a poem by Tonino Guerra – the circus market of flavors in Rimini.
Around the circus, special gourmet street food spots interpret the street kitchen with the best ingredients from Emilia and Romagna and an ‘stellata’ ice cream parlor brings together the creativity of the chefs with the knowledge of Carpigiani Gelato University master ice cream makers.
In front of the Circus, the craftsmen and designers of Matrioska reinterpret the theme of food to show creations marked by the “handmade” brand.
