The 14th edition of the Italian summer new year
From sunset on Friday and throughout the weekend, the 110 km of Romagna coast, with the beating heart of the event in Rimini, propose hundreds of events for what has become for Italians the Summer New Year: concerts in the squares, beach parties, shows, children’s entertainment, restaurants, shops and museums open until late at night, and the main monuments “dressed” in pink light. And at midnight on Friday, the whole coast is lit up by the fireworks show which is one of the most awaited moments of this magical night.
Live in pink … “Pink your life”. Now in its 14th edition, the Pink Night on the Romagna Riviera, one of the most awaited summer events in the whole country, invites its more than two and a half million guests to be carefree, to live lightly and cheerfully, to find the pink side of their own life.
Official image of this thirteenth Italian New Year’s Eve in support of the claim, here is “The Pink Crew” composed of a bunch of characters that every first weekend of July, since 2006, meets on the Riviera to party. From the grandmother to the hipster, the common denominator of all the characters portrayed is the touch of pink, a sign of kindness, of celebration, of meeting, of empathy, of the candor of wanting to be noticed to amuse and have fun, because everyone took part of a magical night. All the characters, connected by the magic of the rose, contain not only a world of sympathy and genuineness, but also a certain protagonism: the desire and the sweet exuberance of showing all the pink that is in us. This is also why La Notte Rosa is wonder, wonder, magic, fun!
And finally, in this pink charm that only Romagna with its true and candid poetry knows how to give every year, among all the characters of the group, it is precisely to a sweet girl that the final message is given: a big pink heart, symbol of kindness, openness and acceptance of that hospitality and passion that have always been the signature of Romagna and of which the Pink Night is the perfect expression.
